The achievements of Dr Ruth Pfau, founder member of Marie Adelaide Leprosy Center will be highlighted at a function here on December 17. Dr Pfau was awarded "Bambi 2012 award" (Germany's most prestigious media award) last month. She received the award in the category of "silent heroes" in recognition of her tireless commitment for leprosy eradication in Pakistan over the past 50 years. The award ceremony had taken place on November 22 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
